i had my gall bladder removed about 9 yrs ago after years of suffering. shortly after the surgery i started having the symptoms again. burning in the stomach up the chest down my back and my right arm. i went back to the doctor and he said i was just had heartburn. ive had heartburn and it never felt like this. his nurse said i was having something called phantom pains. i still have this problem. the only thing that seems to help is standing under the shower with the water as hot as i can stand it and let run down my stomache chest and back. if anyone knows what this is please let me know. and what i can do about it.
Once your gallbladder is gone, there’s just a tube straight from your liver to your stomach. As a result, you probably often release the wrong amount / combination of bile acids (no place to store them). This is a surprisingly common problem and VERY EASY TO CORRECT. I know how painful it is as I had the same problem.
Start taking a supplement (very inexpensive) called GESTAZYME twice a day, once with breakfast . . . . and yes you must eat breakfast . . . . and once with your final meal of the day. You will be amazed at how quickly this works and how good you feel when you use it.
Gestazyme tablets are specially constructed to release pepsin, papain, amylase and betaine hydrochloride in the digestive system where these factors are most active. The betaine hydrochloride provides hydrochloric acid supplementation to ordinary gastric secretions. The pancreatin (which digests protein, fats and starches) and the ox bile extract (which enhances the fat digesting activity and absorption of fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K) are enterically coated for release into the small instestine. It is these 2 substances that will help you most with your present difficulty.
I’ll put the cheapest source I’ve found under ‘source’ for you.
