I know the surgery for acid reflux can cause no vomitting. I know all the risks of not being able to vomit, and I’m not looking for rude answers here. Just things that people may know about. Thanks!
Don’t be a loser that is in love with his shoes
Surgery is a drastic measure and if you can it’s always best to avoid. My 4 year old daughter has Williams Syndrome but wasn’t diagnosed till she was 2. At 15 months of age she had severe reflux and stopped eating. She was taken into surgery where they performed a "fundoplication" procedure. I believe it is also called a "Nissan’s". To this day she still cannot throw up. She can now burp which she thinks is a novelty. The fact that she still can’t throw up is a downfall as this is often your body’s way of expelling something foreign eg.gastro bugs. When you cannot get rid of bugs like this, it often takes you longer to get over them. I wouldn’t recommend surgery if you can avoid it but hey if you really have to, then do it. Talk to you your doctor anyway and see what they say. It may be just a case of increasing your medication and changing your diet and getting into a good exercise routine. Hubby also has reflux and is on Somac so unfortunately reflux runs in the family for my kids. My younger 2 have grown out of it thank goodness but with my eldest having WS, she would never have grown out of it. I wish you all the best in whatever you do.

LOL at details.
Well, pretty much you just have to get your body into a habit, of not doing it
I know that sounds ridiculous, but I used to always throw up and I becmae terrified of it, and now, I haven’t thrown up in over 7 years.
When you feel the need to vomit, just hold it back, take a glass of water, and eventually your body will get used to your new routines.

Mind over matter. Be one with the nausea. Accept the nausea.

Not too sure but, too full a stomache or too empty could cause you to vomit. Acid can,… take tums or something stronger. All I can think of. Dont drink acidy things like coffee, orange juice, other juices, condiments, these are acidy things. I think you could look more up online too. Hope this helps. I had acid reflux and that was what I was told by the Dr. I am ok now. If you are a coffee drinker there are substitutions like Kava I think its called. Drink tea… the acid content is way lower. Good Luck.

My friend has not puked in 20 years. Not when she’s sick, not when she’s drunk, not when she was pregnant. She said that it’s mind over matter and she has mentally conditioned herself not to puke.
