Anyone suffered with Acid-Reflux &/or Oesophagitis?

What did you do? what treatment did you have? did it work? Thanks alot

You’ll need to see your doctor, if you haven’t already, to confirm that you have oesophagitis or gastro-esophageal reflux disease.

If you have these, normal antacids will be next to useless, but a proton-pump inhibitor, like Omeprazole 20mg or 40mg works wonders for people with acid reflux disorders.

The worst symptoms can be a pain-full burning feeling, which is caused by stomach acid burning the lining of the lower oesophagus, and proton-pump inhibitors massively reduce stomach acid, so that when reflux does occur, it isn’t painful, and because your lower esophagus will no longer be being damaged by stomach acid, the damage should start to heal quite quickly.

You need to see your doctor for this type of medicine, and if he agrees that you’d benefit, which sounds likely, your doctor might start you on Omeprazole or similar, once a day, for 4 weeks, and then talk to you again to see if it’s helped.

To be honest, if you do have a reflux problem, you should notice a massive improvement within days of starting this treatment.

Hope it works for you.
